"Louie" Zamperini befriended everyone, he would walk down the street and talk to everybody he met. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere evokes his fun loving spirit and restaurant owner, Ron Salisbury felt he wanted to pay homage to his longtime friend and babysitter. Louis Zamperini is a World War II hero whose life was featured in the film “Unbroken” - we feel it has never been a better time than to remember his tenacity, courage and will to survive.

My strong relationship with my vendors ensures you’ll be enjoying the highest quality beef and seafood. I make all of my pasta and sauces from scratch and have fallen in love with the Italian culture, beauty, and it’s robust cuisine from a young age. The comfort foods of Italy bring back memories of my childhood. Growing up in a Mexican household, rich in heritage, our Beverage Director Daniel Guerrero was exposed to the delight of new spirits and unique fresh flavors from a young age. He was in his mid-20s when he developed his taste and honed his skills in creating syrups, cordials and juices with fresh ingredients, much like his family had been for nearly 5 decades. Heavily involved in the restaurant industry from a young age, Daniel witnessed the love and passion that goes into creating new dishes and it is what inspired him to create cocktails based around certain flavor profiles. While employed with the Balboa Bay Resort, tending bar at A&O Restaurant, Daniel developed a deep understanding of and appreciation for true cocktail making. He learned how to speed up his craft and push the boundaries on new flavors. Daniel makes our bar lively and appeals to the palette of our customers. He credits his mentors Ben Carpenter and Travis Johnson for pushing him to be creative and not be afraid of trying new things.
